Colombia to Showcase Futsal in 2013 AMF Women's
World Cup and IWGA World Games
The World Futsal Association (AMF) has announced that the
Colombian Futsal Federation, headed by Manuel Sanchez, has been selected to host the
second Women's World Cup, to be held next year in the city of Barrancabermeja.
The event will be held in
November, 2013, in a new 7,000-seat stadium being built by the city.

Meeting in Asuncion, Paraguay, July 28, The AMF also accepted the invitation from Colombia
to participate in the World Games, conducted by the International World Games Association,
for up to 12 countries to play Futsal as a demonstration sport.
The World Games will take place July 25 through Aug. 4, 2013, in Cali.
The Futsal segment of the Games will take place in Buga, about two hours from Bucaramanga.
The AMF also announced that it is seeking a European location for its next
World Cup in 2015, and mentioned Belarus as a possible hosting country.
Paraguay's Juan Rolando Alarcón Rios was unanimously re-elected President
at the AMF's annual meeting.

executive director, Manuel Sanchez (Colombia), trustee owner, Gabriel Delmonte (Uruguay)
and deputy mayor, Daniel Cerros (Canada).
